Introducing the FORT Manager Desktop App

We’re excited to announce that FORT Manager– the powerful way to manage and update your FORT Pro Series devices– is now available as a desktop application for Windows.

The newly developed application brings all the functionality of the existing FORT Manager web app into a convenient desktop experience that eliminates the need for command-line interface.

What’s new?

• Direct device tethering: Tether directly to your FORT Pro Series devices to build configurations and update firmware while the app is online.
• Secure offline updates: Upload firmware and configurations to devices in the field even when no internet connection is available.
• Seamless synchronization: All updates will automatically sync between the desktop app and the web app. Additionally, you can access a history of all operations performed on your devices, including successful firmware and configuration updates.
• No Command-line interface required: All configuration and firmware updates are now available through our user interface, removing the need for command-line interface.

Senior Platform Manager Ryan Barnett says the app is a step toward making FORT’s Robotics Control Platform as user-friendly as possible. “With the desktop app, we are empowering customers to configure devices anytime, anywhere. It seamlessly connects the FORT Manager cloud platform and FORT devices, streamlining workflows and boosting efficiency."

Early feedback has been extremely positive, with users commenting on the intuitive workflows and ease of use. The app is currently available for Windows, with Linux support coming in the future.
